INCA TRAIL
DAY 1 : CUSCO – KM. 104 – WIÑAYHUAYNA:
In the morning we will pick you up at your hotel and head towards the Sacred Valley, following the course of the Vilcanota River until we reach the town of Ollantaytambo. Here we will take the train to km 104, the beginning of the trek. Our guide will inform us about the archaeological group of Chachabamba (2270m). After 2 hours of ascent, we visit Wiñayhuayna (2650m), the most important archaeological group before Machu Picchu. Later we will continue to the Sun Gate “Inti Punku”, to observe the sunset of Machu Picchu. On this day, we will have the possibility to take some pictures. We take the bus to the village of Aguas Calientes. Overnight and dinner in Aguas Calientes.
Day 2: AGUAS CALIENTES TOWN – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO:
After our breakfast, at 5:30 a.m., we go to Machu Picchu, in tourist transport. At 6 am, we visit the citadel of Machu Picchu (2400m), a place that will enrich us with its history and culture. Then you will have free time to enjoy on your own, before taking the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and then continue by bus to Cusco (3350m).
